Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
The apartment runs the length of the middle floor of a very large house, built around 1840. The main door opens into a large dining kitchen, followed by a long passage/hallway, that ends at a spacious lounge, overlooking a garden. There are three rooms off the passage; an office/2nd bedroom; bathroom; and main bedroom. Outside there are two lawned areas and a terrace, which is some 20 meters or so from the front door of the property. Parking is at the rear of the building. Overall, it is a comfortable and easy place.

Descripción de nuestro barrio y la zona en que se encuentra
The property is situated in Dalton in Furness, Cumbria. Turn left out of its main gate and within 5 walking minutes, a whole range of inviting countryside is to hand. Turn right and in 3 minutes you arrive at the small railway station and in another 5 you are in the centre of Dalton that has all amenities, including a large Coop.
Dalton - in bygone days the capital of the Furness region - is 4 miles to the north east of Barrow in Furness, a town of some 60,000 plus. It formerly housed Vickers Armstrong, known world-wide during the late 19th and 20th centuries for its ship building. The latter end of the 20th century saw the demise of this industry along with the heavy industrial nature, of the town. A modified version of its past now sees BEA systems building nuclear submarines. This change has seen a significant reduction in the major employment of the region, for it now requires about one sixth of the personnel of past years. Barrow and the Furness District, is now seen as being where “The Lakes meet the Sea”

Ulverston is four miles east of Dalton and is a typical Lake District small town, that is a relaxed and easy place to shop. It has a new Marks and Spencer Food store and an Aldi, together with a regional supermarket, Booths, that is of a similar style to Waitrose.
Greystone is about a 15/20 mins drive from the southern tip of Lake Windermere and a similar time to Broughton in Furness, both fringe areas of the Lake District. About the same length of drive but in a different direction, will take you to the “Coast Rd” that overlooks Morecambe Bay.
In general, the Furness district is a quiet, relaxing place, that has the Lake District on its doorstep.
