Our home is only a 5-10min stroll away from the Prebbleton Village. Here you will find a well stocked supermarket, cafes, restaurants, pubs, take-away outlets, pharmacy, doctors, fitness studio etc. We also have a very nice playground at the entrance to our street and large sports ovals, with tennis courts etc just around the corner. You are welcome to borrow our bikes to explore the area further. We have one toddler seat as well.
The Little River Rail Trail cycle way leads from Prebbleton into Christchurch (4kms) or all the way to Little River via Birdlings Flat. More info here https://www.littlerivertrail.kiwi.nz

The Christchurch International Airport is only a 15min drive from Prebbleton. The CBD is also very easily accessible via a short 15min drive. The central city has many wonderful sights on offer. We love the Botanical Gardens & Ilex Cafe, Hagley Park, The River Side Market, Turanga Library, the Town Hall, New Regent Street precinct, Margaret Mahey Playground... to name a few.

On the other side of the city you will find attractions like The Tannery which is great for shopping or boutique cinema experience, the Christchurch Gondola for breathtaking views, Ferrymead Herritage Park for a bit of history, Sumner which is a really nice beach town. Carrying on from Sumner, Godley Heads is well worth a visit and Lyttelton port town around the other side in the bay.

One of our favourite Christchurch destinations are the Port Hills stretching along the entire south of Christchurch. You will find many amazing lookouts, walking, hiking and cycling trails here. A nice stop for a coffee is the Sign of the Kiwi. If you are the adventurous type the Christchurch Adventure Park is also a very popular destination with state of the art mountan bike trails, ziplining and more. North of Christchurch CBD you will find a couple of wildlife parks: Orana Open Range Zoo (https://www.oranawildlifepark.co.nz) and Willowbank (https://www.willowbank.co.nz/). Here you will be able to spot KIWIS!
