Warm welcome, spacious house near the sea. Simply a dream. We really enjoyed our days in Golden Bay.

We had a wonderful time exploring a truly fabulous area of Abel Tasman - there is so much to do in from your home. The house itself is beautifully appointed and comfortable with gorgeous views. Each evening we spent sitting at a different table in the house or on the front or back patio. We have never seen such a variety of citrus fruits which you have in the garden too. Thank you very much for all your hospitality to us and our family.

The most breathtaking home set in a spectacular location. As soon as we came up the driveway we knew this was going to be a very special experience. Peaceful, green and spacious - it was just us and the beautiful selection of birds. The neighbours were so friendly - we hiked with the legendary Derry (next door) and visited Jo Ward’s art gallery a few doors down. Ligar Bay was amazing - golden sands and so much to do and explore. Every day was an excursion - a few times to Able Tasman for runs through forests and along beaches (more birds and seals). We also ran from the house and found lots of adventures! We visited the Rawhiti Caves (incredible) and some springs. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. Food and drink wise - so much on offer! We went to Toto’s Pizzaria just a few miles up the way - off the grid and worth a visit!! Takaka was an excellent town close by - we loved all the cafes and restaurants: Wholemeal Cafe (have the vegan patty or vegetarian sausage rolll), Dangerous Kitchen (pizzas!), Dada Manifesto’s (prawns, asparagus, parmesan fries… it was all very special), Roots (wine and IPA) and up the road also to the Mussel Inn (IPAs and cider). The Kiwi Distillery is also a must do - Jeremy was fantastic fun and we left with a few very excellent bottles of gin! We really did fall in love with Chris and Anna’s home in every way. We loved how light and airy it was, beautifully decorated in keeping with its location on the coast. Sitting on the decking on an evening with a glass of wine and simply listening to bird song was wonderful. Everything was immaculate and so comfortable. Thank you for letting us share your home and introducing us to the wonder of Golden Bay. I think we both left a small piece of our hearts behind :) Jo & Chris

Anna and Chris are the perfect hosts and guets. They made us a warmly welcome even we got there late. We hade a great time in there beautiful home with the fabulous surrounding. Here home is amazing, lovely decorated and well equipped! We enjoyed the great tips for to explore the beautiful area. So, I was very happy to host them in Lucerne. They are perfect guests. The time they left , my apartment was in a very clean condition. Thanks a lot for everything: I’m very happy to get the chance to knowing you. In friendship Brigitte

Nous avons passé une semaine délicieuse dans la très belle maison de Chris et Anna, au bord de la mer, entourée d'un parc où orangers et citronniers embaument. Il y a de nombreuses excursions à faire aux alentours, dans l'Abel Tasman park, et la petite ville de Takaka est pleine de charme. Nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer Chris le jour de notre départ. Une approche très séduisante de la Nouvelle Zélande. We had a wonderful stay in Chris and Anna's beautiful house, at the seaside. The Abel Tasman park is very close, and the little town of Takaka is pleasant with its restaurants and shops. We were pleased to meet Chris at the end of our stay.

Thanks for making us feel so welcome upon our arrival. Your home is fabulous and in an idyllic location. We had lots of fun exploring Golden Bay , we went on a lovely boat ride and we was so lucky to find some friendly seals at Wharariki Beach. Thanks once again Louise and Kevin
