We are Alessandro and Simona (in their 50s). Our children, Filippo (1995) and Cecilia (2000), are now living on their own and seldom comes with us on holidays. When they don't, we sometimes wish to travel with one or two of our friends. We love arts (music in particular), movement and open air activities (such us running, biking, walking, kayaking or dancing). And travelling, of course, particularly where we can do all these activities (cities of art, natural reserves, etc). We have met wonderful people with our exchanges and we prefer main residence swaps.

Read More...We were very comfortable in Alessandro's and Simona's welcoming home. We loved having dinner on their large and lovely terrace each evening! Alessandro provided plenty of information prior to the trip and answered every question. In a myriad of ways he made it very easy to get there and to leave again at the end, and for us to have an answer to any question. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with its cafes and restaurants, and especially the excellent farmer's market each morning and even the playground where children played as their parents kept watch while savoring a coffee or a drink in a pleasant cafe! Alessandro left lots of information on where to go, what to see, shopping, etc., including a lovely and scenic long walk from the house through the Pamphili Park and into Trastevere & central Rome. A quicker way to get there is a tram and several buses a few minutes' walk from the house. All in all it was a wonderful visit, an excellent location, and a great way to visit Rome.

Just as I wrote in a quick note when leaving their comfortable flat : Merci pour votre accueil et " Come and swap with us any other time ! "

Descripción de nuestro barrio y la zona en que se encuentra
Monteverde is a residential central district; you may walk to Villa Pamphili, the biggest town park in Rome, and to Gianicolo, the most famous place to enjoy the beautiful romantic panorama of Rome.
All kind of shops (and farmer markets also) are at walking distance.
With a tramline you can reach within 10-30 minutes: the most characteristic, historical and monumental parts of Rome, Largo Argentina, a junction of public transports to reach all other parts of the city, and the Trastevere district, with its pubs, breweries and typical restaurants.
