The apartment is located in the “Quartiere Metronio”, just outside the ancient walls and the old "Aqua Felix" aqueduct (it can be seen from the windows). It is one of the best starting points to explore the city. Within a walking distance: the cathedral of St.Joannes, Santa Croce in Gerusalemme Basilica, the shopping area along via Appia Nuova. The Colosseo and Fori Imperiali can be reached through a very nice walk in less then 40 minutes (not so bad considering how big is Rome). Local market and supermarkets are nearby. The new bus line 51 Express starts its route just a few metres to my apartment and it takes to: San Giovanni in Laterano, Colosseo, Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia and close to Piazza di Spagna. Metro A line stop is within 800m; Tuscolana Train Station (connection with Fiumicino Airport) can be reached in a 20 munute walk. From Ciampino: easy connection by bus + metro A.
