Local Attractions:
The historic site of Newgrange and Bru na Boinne interpretive centre is just 2km down the road. The historic town of Drogheda with all its amenities is just 4km away. There are lovely walks along the river Boyne and the canal. The picturesque village of Slane is a 10 min drive, where you can visit Slane castle and it's newly finished whiskey distillery. There are many other tourist sites nearby including Oldbridge Estate where the Battle of the Boyne took place. Tara the home to the High Kings of Ireland is close by as is Bective Abbey, Dunsany Castle, Mellifont Abbey & Trim Castle.

Things to Do:
There is lots to do in the local area. There are watersports on the river Boyne, you can hire kayaks or rent the boat from the Game of Thrones TV show. Funtasia waterpark & Leisure centre is located in Drogheda which is great fun for all the family and a fun activity no matter what the weather. Tayto Park with it's renowned Cu Chulainn roller coaster is a 20 min drive from the house.
For the golf lovers there are many renowned golf courses in the area including Baltray, Seapoint and Bellewstown.
Bellewstown race course is a 15min drive from the house.
There are many and varied restaurants nearby, Drogheda is well known for it's restaurants and lively pubs. Slane too has lovely restaurants and pubs. For fine dining Tankardstown House is a short drive away.

The capital city of Dublin is just 40km away which is accessed by the M1 motorway less than a 5 min drive from the house.
