Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
Our home is a lovely spacious family home close to Cork city centre in an exclusive park in a private cul-de-sac. Shanakiel looks down over the city with beautiful views. We are only 20 mins from Cork International Airport, and our location is perfect for a holiday in Cork city or for using as a touring base to West Cork and the stunning southern coastline.
We enjoy a very private sunny south facing back garden, with 3 patio areas and a BBQ. Our front garden has a driveway and off-street parking. Additionally we have a large safe communal green area in the front of our house with loads of space for cycling, skateboarding, soccer (goal provided) etc. We have 2 adult bikes and a child seat for those of you who would like to cycle around the city and it's attractions.
We have 4 bedrooms, one master en-suite and three single rooms. Additional temporary bed space can easily be arranged. Our kitchen / living room looks out onto our lovely back garden with patio areas and BBQ, there is a spacious lounge with a piano, and a teenagers den with Wifi, Wii, PS4, games etc... Our main bathroom is upstairs, with a small cloakroom downstairs.

It's only a 5 minute drive / 20 min walk to Cork city centre, to all that a cosmopolitan city has to offer, including restaurants, cinema, theatre, sporting facilities, pubs, great shopping etc.,. Cork is a vibrant city with outdoor food markets, art galleries, concerts and The English Market. Pedestrian streets and cycle lanes make it a pleasure to browse shops, bookshops and cafes.

Within walking or close driving distance to our home you have access to fitness facilities, children's indoor play centres for any rainy days, the beautiful Fitzgerald's park with play area, museum and cafe, two public swimming pools, Cork City Gaol museum, The Lifetime Lab Environmental centre and some lovely riverside walks along the Lee. Additionally St Finbarr's Cathedral, University College Cork and the Glucksman Gallery are within walking distance.
The Lee Fields greenway is just down the road, a beautiful riverside setting in a parkland, perfect for strolling, jogging, picnics etc... Cork's wonderful coast is about a 40 minute drive away, in various directions, and you have a wide range of wonderful beaches, both busy and secluded, at your disposal. Windsurfing, kayaking, hiking, cycle greenways are all a short drive away.
