We had a great time in your beautiful home. The location is unique, especially in The Netherlands with an unpaved road leading up the house, in the middle of the woods. The house itself dates back to the 1840's and has been completely modernized. All the animals stayed behind, including Fiep, the golden retriever, which made the exchange all the more unique. We loved walking the dog and taking care of the cats, chickens and rabbit. When walking the dog, occasionally, the 'woods-cat' joined in. There are many things to do or see in the direct surroundings. We visited the Openlucht museum, Arnhem, the Warmuseum, went biking on the Hoge Veluwe (spotted deer and mouflons) and rounded the Schaarsbergen mountainbike trail. Thanks for both the warm welcome and goodbye. Maybe we'll meet/exchange again some other time!

The farm house of Janneke and Henk-Jan is truly unique! In the middle of the woods, a true place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Arnhem is very nearby and has great scenery to cycle around. We had a great time with our family, the huge garden, the woods, the animals and the cosy farmhouse. They are a great family and it was nice to meet up. We found our home in Amsterdam as if nobody had been there. Thank jou for a great Easter Holiday and we hope to exchange again!

Dear Henk-Jan and Janneke, We had such a nice time in your house, it is beautiful and very comfortable with so much space for everyone. We loved the location too, for walks in the woods, bicycle trip into the national park just 5 minutes away and Arnhem city center very close too. Thank you so much.

What a fantastic time our family had in the Fam De Heus’s beautiful spot in the forest. We loved cycling through the forest to the pancake restaurant and/or bakery and back. Many visits into the city of Arnhem close by with it’s lovely parks, gardens, relaxed city centre and WW2 history. We also managed time for a visit to Amsterdam by train. A wonderful family holiday in a lovely part of the world. Thanks Fam De Heus!

We had an extremely good time in this home which offered something for everybody: In the middle of a forest but still in cycling distance of the city the house is spacious and comfortable with lots of nooks to read and relax in while the rest of the family were busy playing in the games room or in the huge garden, which is perfectly equipped for people like us who love reading and doing nothing on some days and prefer being active on others. Our hosts were extremely generous: They left us everything we might have needed in abundance: Bikes, bed sheets, towels, food, plus plenty of good ideas for day trips, eating out etc., and two lovely cats who kept coming to us to be loved and cared for whenever we wanted their company. Having a great time came naturally! The communication was warm and friendly from the beginning, and we appreciated the meal all ten of us had together at the beginning of the holiday. We feel that it is much easier to swap homes knowing that a lovely and kind family sleep in your beds and not a total stranger - and this family made it extremely easy for us!

Lovely and comfortable house, beautiful surroundings, easy access to many interesting places, great to be able to start walks and cycling from the house.
