Retired professional couple, who love travelling. We are open to all destinations. We have two sons and four grandchildren in Sydney ,who we visit at least once a year .We would be open to house swaps in Sydney or any part of Australia. Our house in France is our second home , so none simultaneous swaps work well. New Zealand is also a place , we are eager to return to.

Read More...We fell in love with Sue and Stuart's house and the region. The house is in a small village very close to the lovely town of Dinan. The house is deceptively large, very comfortable and charming, with a sunny garden. We loved the comfy beds, the big country kitchen and open fires. It was a great base to explore the absolutely gorgeous coastline to the west of Dinard, as well as popular tourist destinations including Dinan, Dinard, St Malo and Le Mont St Michel.

Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
Our traditional french house, L'Ancienne Epicerie is situated just 5 mins from Dinan in a quiet rural hamlet called Le Mezeray ( Close to St Solen and St Helen). The coast, rivers and towns of this area of north Brittany are particularly beautiful and Dinan's geographical setting on the hillside, overlooking the river Rance is exceptional.
L'Ancienne Epicerie is easily accessible from the port of St Malo and Dinard airport. It has easy access (less than 30 minutes) to the beautiful Brittany coast and its beach resorts around dramatic Cap Frehel, sophisticated Dinard and atmospheric fishing ports such as Cancale.
Nearby Dinan is perhaps one of the prettiest medieval walled cities in France with its 15th-century half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets. Historical attractions include the Chateau, beautiful gothic churches, and traditional shops and restaurants. The area is great for riverside walking and cycling as well as access to the forest.
The regional city of Rennes is only 40 minutes away.
Our home offers three double bedrooms (1 en-suite) a family bathroom, downstairs WC, two reception rooms with cosy log burners, and a good size dining area and kitchen to entertain the family.
The rooms were all refurbished in 2012 and the house is decorated in a light and airy "shabby chic" style. An enclosed and peaceful rear garden gives space for relaxation.
Please note that for the comfort of visitors we are a pet free and smoke free house.

There are numerous beautiful beaches within a 30 minutes drive. There are many chateaux in the area .The famous Mont St. Michel is only 43km away
There is a beautiful walk along the river from Dinan to Lehon ,a picturesque village with an Abbey. Here there is also a public open air swimming pool.
