We spent a fantastic fortnight at Magali and Cédric's home. We had phoned and mailed each other before our exchange and kept closely in touch through Whatsapp. Magali and Cédric are a very nice couple and they provided us with lots of information. Their house is comfortable, luminous and has modern furniture and decorations. Moreover, we enjoyed swimming in their outdoor pool with a magnificent view over the hills. Ruy-Montceau has a good situation, close to Bourgoin-Jallieu where you can find many facilities and shops. We hiked a lot during our stay there, in the Vercors, Chartreuse, Savoie and visited towns such as Annécy and Chambéry, but also small villages like Crémieu and Morestel. Thanks a lot, Magali and Cédric, for this wonderful, happy exchange!

We spent two relaxed weeks in the house of Magali and Cedric, which is located in a small village near Lyon. The house is modern an elegantly furnished and provided plenty of room for the five of us. As it was quite hot, we especially enjoyed the luxury of a private pool and also the beautiful view from the shadowy big terrace. We explored the surroundings with the bicycles and we were also given Eliots car, which was very useful to do daytrips to the Alps to go hiking and to the lakes nearby to swim in clear blue warm water. We also visited the old city of Lyon and its cathedrals. Everyday we bought baguettes, eclaires, macarons or other pastery at the village bakery. We made a sport out of it to buy a different kind of baguette each day (we didn't know there are so many different types!). All the locals we met were very friendly and welcoming. In the end we very spontaneously arranged a meeting point half way on our trips home. It was a pleasure to meet and to get to know each other! Thank you so much, we hope to see you again sometime!
