In the hot summer we both were allowed to spend two wonderful weeks in the pretty little house in Merignac, a suburb in the east of Bordeaux. In the run-up to and during the stay we had friendly, funny exchanges via messenger and email. Thanks also for the conversation in English, as unfortunately we are very bad at French! When we exchanged keys in Bordeaux, we were able to see each other briefly and had the most important things about the uncomplicated young cat Yuki explained to us. The family are experienced home swappers. Everything is well organized. The house is in a very nice residential area with small, detached houses and gardens, bright, friendly, quiet. There is a great bakery around the corner (not only croissants, baguettes, cannelés bordolais .., but also various darker types of bread) and for the essentials there is also a small shop and a post office. On Saturday mornings there is even a small market right around the corner (fish, meat, cheese, baked goods, fruit and vegetables). The cottage is perfectly located to explore the spacious metropolis of Bordeaux. The tram is a 5 minute walk away. And if you want to drive to the beaches of the Atlantic, you can quickly get to the exit roads. In less than an hour you are on guarded beaches. Many Thanks. We enjoyed it very much!
