The apartment is a short walk from a local beach with beachside cafes where we enjoyed tapas while watching the world go by. We didn’t hire a car but chose to use local transport to venture further afield to the La Manga peninsula where there are lovely beaches and restaurants. We enjoyed using the communal pool followed by an evening drink on the apartments sunny balcony. The apartment has everything you will need for an enjoyable stay. Communication with the host was excellent.

This was our first trip to England and our two weeks at Jayne and Robert's beautiful home were spent exploring and relaxing. Their hometown of Hilton is perfectly located to visit many interesting places of beauty and history. We enjoyed a beautiful day in Stratford Upon Avon - home of William Shakespeare, a picnic at Tutbury Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner, and Chatsworth House - a truly mind-blowing experience of beauty - not only in the home, but the expansive grounds and surrounding countryside - not to be missed!! We also enjoyed walking in and around the town of Hilton - we enjoyed a rock concert at a local pub, and even met a curly-haired pet pig at the town's allotment grounds by the cutest restaurant called the Shed. The Marina nearby was a special treat seeing all the long narrow boats that people enjoy living on and cruising up and down the rivers there. But a big part of this trip was just how comfortable and relaxed we were at Jayne and Robert's home - they were absolutely great to work with before and during the exchange. They (including their son, Dylan) are the kind of people you want to have for forever friends.

Couldn't ask for a better exchange. Rob and Jayne go out of their way to welcome guests and their home is so comfortable and has everything you need. Derbyshire is a beautiful area with plenty to see and do all year round! Until next time, Jen & Tom xx

We spent two weeks in this lovely part of England! All our communications with Jayne and Rob was easy and smooth they were so helpful to us in our planning! Their home was comfortable, inviting, immaculate, and we were sad to leave! So much to see and do in this part of England! We are already talking with Jayne and Rob about a summer exchange! We stayed in Rob's and Jeyne's house and loved it. It's a perfect startingpoint for many beautiful parts of the country. And the house itself is very nice to live in, cozy garden where barbecue is easy. Jayne and Rob had provided lots of tips on eating out, trips to do, etc. A very good TV system, and wonderful sound system in the whole house gave us many good moments. An internet connected computer with printer is also there which made search for things easy. Rob and Janye had also made preparations so that we were welcomed ther first day by a nice neighbour. We visited, the Peak district with it's fantastic landscape views, the city York with its Minster, wall, restaurants, Jorvik (Viking) centre, and of course London. The GPS-system in the car worked fine and made it easy to find our way around the village of Hilton aswell as other parts of England. We warmly recomend a visit and an exchange with Jayne and Rob! They had taken good care of our home during their stay in our house.
