Words are not enough! What a wonderful exchange. Excellent communication prior to the exchange (non simultaneous...exchangers will visit us in 2024) and a fully comprehensive guide with everything covered and more. We contracted covid on arrival which wasn't planned! but the support of our exchangers relatives nearby (one a retired gp) ensured we were well supported and the house and garden with it's humming birds was a beautiful oasis in which to recover. Our later 3 day trip to Tofino to bear watch resulted in us being stranded there for 11 days as a result of a wildfire closing the only road. We had the exchangers new E car which we ultimately had to abandon as we then flew out...Thirell and David were so understanding about this ...and as it actually meant we would not be back and vacating their house before they arrived back from Switzerland (as planned), they even moved into their second bedroom to make it easier for us as all our belongings were still in theirs! And in addition insisted on lending us their second car for a trip to Victoria. Really exceptional kindness and consideration. We are so glad all this meant an opportunity to spend a few days with Thirell and David which wouldn't have happened otherwise. We have very fond memories of Vancouver Island and this exchange..so beautiful....the places and the people.

I really appreciated that even though they were only in my home for a short time, I had to intrude on them because of a medical appointment that unexpectedly came up. It did give us a chance to get to know each other at a local venue as well.

What a fabulous experience this was !! Thirell and David's home, garden and neighborhood are simply breathtaking! The home is large, comfortable, and inviting. We just couldn't stop looking at their beautiful garden! They were extremely helpful and responsive. Getting to their home is a dream - a beautiful international airport 10 minutes from their house yet their neighborhood is super quiet. We saw castles, fabulous gardens, killer whales, and even deer resting near by. We ate fabulous French cuisine and walked through beautiful nature trails to a secluded beach. This home exchange has it all!! And the home owners are wonderful too. Thank you again, Thirell and David, for a perfect home exchange!

We loved our visit to David and Thirell's home. We especially loved hanging out in their beautiful garden, walking to the beach, and exploring the neighbourhood and beaches. It was very easy to do day trips in Victoria and nearby Islands and explore various hiking trails. David and Thirell were very welcoming and made sure our stay was pleasant. They were also very easy to communicate with and responsive.

David and Thirell have a wonderful home in an extremely pleasant neighbourhood surrounded by large trees with close beach access through some easy trails. The house was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. They were great guest and left our home also spotlessly clean. Our communications were always clear, prompt and very positive.

What a great place to exchange! Loved every moment of it!!

We spent 10 wonderful days on Vancouver Island in north Saanich . David and Thirell's home offers all amenities and a very good comfort level . It's situated close to the forest with a marvellous flower and vegetable garden which we could taste There are a lot of things to see and visit on Vancouver island - good restaurants , shops and whale watching are close to the house in Sidney And nature is so great Thank you to David and Thirell for making it possible for us to visit this nature paradise
