Our exchange with Carla and Al in Vancouver suited us petfectly. It was a long exchange of 6 weeks, as part of our 3 month stay to visit family! The Canadian Winter really turned it up to the maximum during our stay leading up to Christmas which gave us a unique snowy experience. We looked forward to coming home to the cosy lounge which was very comfortable, welcoming, and warm by the fire. Every convenience was available in the kitchen as we cooked family meals. We loved the walks around the neighbourhood including the local park/bog whichvwas an enchanted forest in the snow. The location is within easy reach of grocery shops on Dunbar, and conveniently serviced by buses to most parts of the city. We had use of the car, but rarely had to use it. The hosts were engaging and generous. Thank you Carla and Al.

This was a fabulous home and Carla and Al were so gracious and such a pleasure to meet. This was our first trip to Vancouver and we felt like we saw it all even though we were working much of the time. Carla's house is beautiful and just the right size. In between working downtown we spent our mornings in the sun-filled kitchen, evenings out on her deck by the fire and nights in the cozy tv room watching movies. We did not have a car and it was super easy to get around via public transit. Restaurants and shops were just a few blocks away and the bus was just a block and half. We went all around- downtown, Kitsilano, West End, Gastown, Yaletown and to the Museum of Anthropology (must see!). Vancouver has it all- city, beach, ocean, mountains. Anyone who gets the chance to stay at Carla's magical house should jump on it!

We had a fabulous stay at Carla and Al´s house. We felt truly at home far abroad, the supercomfy house is located in a nice neighbourhood which is very well connected to downtown Vancouver and is more than only a place to sleep in this exciting city. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor room with its beautiful fireplace and enjoyed the spirit of this place! Carla and Al are great and very friendly exchange partner, helping out a lot to explore Vancouver downtown and area. Thanks so much to make our trip a very special one!!

The Tree House of Vancouver was a very nice experience for us. It's a cosy home with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is situated on an ideal location: Close to down town Vancouver, the airport, the ferries to Vancouver Island and further away into the mountains. Public transport is close by. We certainly recommend this home from Al and Carla to every Homelink member.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at Carla and Al's. They were off on other adventures, but made sure the house was clean and communicated with us regularly. The home is in a lovely location, close to a lovely walk and with lots of shops, etc. nearby. Thank you so much for a wonderful few days.

Our family spent a lovely 10 days this summer in Vancouver at Carla and Al's beautiful home, ideally situated in a quiet neighborhood yet close to all the city's sights. We savored spending time in their amazing kitchen preparing and enjoying home cooked meals, and took several meals to their comfortable outdoor patio as the weather was ideal with no pesky bugs, like mosquitoes, bothering us. Windows were left open 24/7 during our stay which provided a gentle breeze throughout the day/night. Our family of 4 felt right at home with plenty of room in the Courtenay home. Vancouver offers beaches, mountains, cultural diversity, varied hiking options, delicious meals, an unbeatable aquarium, ferry rides to nearby islands, and so much more. We definitely want to return to Vancouver in the future as there is still more to experience. We highly recommend this home to other Homelink members!

We love Vancouver and, as our son attends the university there, we often visit. We could not have asked for a better arrangement than exchange with Carla and Al. The ten day swap went very smoothly. Carla's house is lovely. It offers spacious rooms and great comfort, and it also wonderfully decorated. It is full of warm colors. Art lines the walls. Even the collectibles are interesting and quite often whimsical. The beds were nice and warm, the kitchen well equipped, and we loved gathering around the fireplace, a definite plus in December. Their small car was great to have in the urban environment, as it is easy to drive and park. I do not have to describe the merits of Vancouver. A beautiful, vibrant city, surrounded by a magnificent landscape of water and tall mountains. The restaurants and food stores are world class. We love all the outdoor activities, and there are some gems among the museums and cultural venues. Thanks Carla and Al for your hospitality!

Carla & Al´s place is great, nicely quiet and comfortable, located in a lovely neighbourhood. Carla welcomed me to her home and made me feel right at home. She showed me around and informed me on all the important items in and around the house. The garden invites to relax. The traffic is very convenient, bus is just around the corner and it will take you to the city. Beach and magnificent Pacific Spirit Regional Park in walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful place. My husband and I would highly recommend this home to exchange with.

Carla and Al have a wonderful home. This house has everything you need, including a big porch and a very nice garden. There's lots of space, books, a piano and even a fire place. The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. There's parks everywhere and within a couple of minutes, you can be either Downtown or down at the ocean - just perfect! If you have the chance to make an exchange with Carla and Al, please grab this opportunity. Both are wonderful, funny and caring people. We loved it!
