Our home is located in beautiful Williamstown, an historic seaport town with many tourist attractions. It is a short walk to a variety of multicultural restaurants, all types of shopping and many cafes for informal dining. Being a peninsula, Williamstown offers a variety of water sports, including fishing and boating, and has a clean, safe swimming beach. There are a number of self-guided walks which explore the many examples of historical architecture and offer glimpses into the significant seafaring and convict beginnings of the area. There is also a fantastic view of Melbourne's city skyline from the end of the street!
Our house has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a pull out sofa bed. We have just completed an extensive renovation with an architect designed kitchen, bathroom and dining and lounge extension. The house has two toilets with one being located in the new laundry. There is a barbeque on the deck which opens on to a large garden.
Williamstown is a one hour drive to Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road, with Phillip Island and the penguins an hour and a half away.
Melbourne is the home of many major sporting events including international cricket and football at the M.C.G, the Grand Prix and the Spring Racing Carnival at Flemington. Melbourne also hosts a number of important cultural events throughout the year.
