Our leafy area Zehlendorf is a friendly, very safe outer neighbourhood of Berlin. There are parks and playgrounds at 5 minute walking distance, as well as a bustling high-street with all amenities, including organic and regular supermarkets, a range of restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques and corner shops. Access to central Berlin is very easy, you take the S-Bahn or alternatively ride a bus - Kurfürstendamm, Brandenburg Gate, Schöneberg, Friedrichstrasse - all the big theatres and concert venues - are 30 minutes away. Equally Potsdam - home to a number of monuments, such as Sans Souci and the wonderful Barberini Museum is 30 minutes away by S-Bahn. In summer, Berlin's most beautiful lake Schlachtensee, where you can go swimming or walking, is a short ride away, as is the stunning Wannsee. If you like cycling and walking, there are many fantastic routes through Grunewald or Wannsee at easy reach.
