Our apartment is located in a quiet residential area near the aquarium. The apartment is a 15 minute walk from the fish market/Bryggen area and a 20 minute walk to the railway station and bus station. The Bergen ferry terminal is also a 15 minute walk away. There is a well stocked supermarket 5 minutes away (with limited sales on a Sunday).

In 2 minutes walking distance there is a park; Nordnesparken. In Nordnesparken there is a public outdoor pool, and also opportunities to take a bath in the sea. You can also wisit the park for the beautiful view or a picnic.

Museums, historic destinations as well as vibrant culture is within walking distance. Visit the Bergen Art Museum or take in a musical performance at Grieg Hall. The exquisite buildings of Bryggen, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Floybanen Funicular and Hanseatic Museum are well worth seeing.

All year round, guests in Bergen will find plenty of shows and events in the city to keep them entertained. During the summer, Bergen also hosts many festivals and annual events across the urban area.

If you like hiking there are seven mountains surrounding Bergen, all available by foot or bus.

All in all, a great base for exploring Bergen and the surrounding areas.
