We are an easy-going, happily retired, married, fun-loving couple. We are excited to share our homes and yours, as we all travel to different parts of the world. We believe it is better to err on the side of mercy than on the side of judgment. We are a close family and have adult children, but not living with us. One lives in Toronto and the other in Berlin. They and their spouses may join us on our exchange, but if that is a possibility we would notify you for your approval beforehand. This may mean 4 adults and the maximum would be six adults This may never happen, but I would like to leave the possibility open. We love both city and country living. We take great care of our homes and would expect you to care for them as well. We would take the same care with your home. Looking forward to corresponding with you and helping to make your travel to our marvellous part of the world, wonderful!

Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio
Currently this home is not for exchange. We have an executive home situated in quaint Stouffville, five minutes from downtown local shops and one hour's relaxing ride to Toronto's centre, Union Station. You choose- hometown action or city action. Our home is situated in a high- end neighbourhood with mature trees on the boulevards. A parkette is at the end of the cul de sac. It features an open concept "L" shaped kitchen, family and living area with a perfect sunny sitting area for afternoon tea. Our piano is of great sentimental value and is very old. If you play please use love and care. If there's sun in the sky, the house is full of light. If there's no sun, the house is still full of light compliments of our lighting system. Large sliding doors open to a large, private covered deck off the kitchen. We enjoy the wood-burning fireplace in the Family Room on cool Fall or Winter evenings. A sweeping staircase leads to four bedrooms on the second floor or our elevator will take you there. Our comfortable master bedroom has double doors opening to a sitting/reading area, sleeping area and a large ensuite with a sunken tub for leisurely soaks. There is a second bathroom for the other bedrooms. We have two other guest bedrooms available and a fourth if needed. We hope you find it as warm and comfortable as we do.

Stouffville (pronounced "stove ill") is part of the Greater Toronto Area. GTA. Whitchurch-Stouffville's theatre, gallery, museum and library contribute to a vibrant arts and cultural scene with exciting programming, exhibitions and events. Home to significant creative talent, Whitchurch-Stouffville also hosts a roster of events that include music, contemporary dance, fall studio tours, commercial galleries, fine dining and Town festivals. Our home is in a quiet, mature, upscale neighbourhood, closed to any through traffic. Five minute walk to quaint downtown with unique shops and bistros, and elegant dining. There is a weekly outdoor Farmers' market in town, and the famous Sales Barn is a five minute drive in town, where you can buy "anything." Baseball games are played in the Park on Park Ave near the Library/Aquatic/Leisure Centre, again just a short walk from our home. Stouffville is an active sports-crazed town with great Community Spirit. There are many walking trails throughout the town with a large green space and park area covered by a large pavilion. We have highly successful teams in hockey, baseball and soccer. Enjoy a game and get caught up in the community spirit. Canada Day, July 1 visitors come from all around to experience our Strawberry Festival and Fireworks display. The streets are closed to traffic and are filled with celebrations and happy people dressed in red and white. This year, 2017, with be an extravaganza to be sure as we celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday!
TORONTO- We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theatre, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.
Perhaps, this city life is what you crave, for a change of pace. As you sit back and relax and read, a comfortable hour train or bus ride takes you from Stouffville Station to the heart of Toronto, Union Station. No parking worries or one way streets to navigate. From Union transportation is available to every area in the city- even to Toronto International Airport! Yes you can take transportation at the airport to Union Station where you catch a bus or train north to Stouffville. This exciting metropolis was rated as the number one city to live in from of top 50 cities in the world.
