Our area is perfect for those who enjoy outdoor and/or cultural activities as we are situated in a valley between two small mountains that are designated national parks. The Richelieu river is only a short 3-mile drive from our door and there are bicycle paths throughout the area. There are good restaurants not far from our place and we are ten minutes away from one of Quebec's largest shopping centers. Of course Montreal is the place to go for culture and night life, not to mention the many festivals that run throughout the Summer and Autumn. If you don't want to make the half-hour drive into the city there is a commuter train that runs from 6:00 to 9:00 and again from 16:00 to 19:00 during the week, with an extra trip into the city at 13:45, as well as hourly bus service, only a five-minute drive from our house.

We have extra-long twin beds that can also be made into a king in the master bedroom, a queen pull-out couch in the upstairs library, and two more extra-long twin beds in the upstairs bedroom. We also have a single bed that can be put into the small reading room downstairs for those with small children. We have a good sound system in the living room.

Our home is cozy, clean, and comfortable. We live on a country road yet we are less than 10 minutes by car from the centre of town. Our house is situated on an acre of land with a lovely view of fields and two small mountains. The screened verandah runs the whole length of the house. We love sitting there to listen to the song birds, or watch the horses in our neigbour's pasture, or just enjoy the sunsets.

The inside of our house is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Downstairs there is a play room with a tennis table and other games to keep children occupied. We spend a lot of time down there playing with our two grandsons when they visit with us. We also have a small electronic piano in the reading/music room if you would like to play a few tunes.
