Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio

We love our beach home for its numerous decks and balconies to watch every mood of the sea and sea crafts of every shape and size as well as wandering along the meandering garden paths under beautiful spreading coastal gums.
The house has four levels:
top level 1 = master bedroom with master bathroom that is also an ensuite to this bedroom (bath, shower, toilet and two basins), guest bedroom with queen bed and private balcony, and open plan study
level 2 = dining room, kitchen which includes informal sitting area and TV, lounge room with open fire, bathroom
level 3 = bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom, lounge (the sofa here folds out to queen size bed), open plan kitchen and butlers pantry, open air laundry and shower for after beach
level 4 = store room with sink for fish cleaning and powder room.
The garden is large with a frog filled pond, waterfall, pentaque field, large trees with regular visits by local koalas, chooks, vegetable raised beds and small orchard

Our neighbourhood is very quiet as only local traffic passes our door. We have experienced 'home swappers' across the road.
We love the beach which is a 12 minute walk or couple of mins in the car. Its great for swimming, sailing, snorkelling, wind surfing, sandcastles, or just strolling. There is a coastal boardwalk and bike path which lead to Hallet Cove which is an area of national geological significance. We are spoilt for choice in local pubs and seaside places to eat and if you have to tear yourself away from the beach for shopping, there's a major mall complex with the lot including cinemas within a 10 minute drive. The CBD of Adelaide is just 30 mins by train with the Marino Rocks train station a five minute walk. We are on the edge of the stunning McLaren Vale wine district - we have way too many favourite wineries!

Dónde ir y qué hacer mientras se esté en nuestra casa

Glenelg, referred to by the locals simply as "the bay", is a tourist seaside hotspot and connects with the centre of Adelaide by a 20 minute tram service. Not to be confused with Jetty Road Glenelg is Jetty Road Brighton which is just a few minutes drive and has an eclectic mix of shops and cafes with great coffee and casual food.
The wineries of McLaren Vale could occupy visitors for weeks if you are serious about wine and food. Keep driving for another 30 minutes or so and you will end up in Victor Harbour, a beautiful coastal town where a walk to Granite Island is a must. If hills, historic towns, small galleries, chocolate and/or cheese factories are of interest, well they are only a 30 minute drive away too.
