  The exchange with Tanja and Flo was excellent! Their home is welcoming, warm and clean. We immediately felt at ease. Their cat was great company. We easily visited Basel and the Vitra Campus, we walked in the Black Forest and the Petit Camargue reserve. The exchange of information with them was very good both before and during the exchange. Thanks again for everything! We certainly recommend you and wish you more great exchanges

• Relaxing stay at Steinen

  We had a wonderful summer week in Steinen. We've never been in the region before, but discovered it has so much to offer. It's really close to Swiss and France, and it is right at the border of the black forest, where you have all the forests, the lakes and the mountains that make up for a perfect hike. Tanja's & Flo have been extremely helpful at making an excellent house guide containing lots of good activities to do. The house is very well equiped: everything you need is there. You can borrow a bike to reach bakery and supermarket in two minutes. The house is at the end of a dead-end street, which offers a wide space for the children to play outside. We instantly felt welcome in this nice neighbourhood and will keep excellent memories of this holiday. Thank you very much for your hospitality, Tanja & Flo! We look forward to return the favour and to host you in our house in Leuven.

  Dear Familie Eckl, we had an amazing time at your beautiful, spacious and cozy home. Everything was so well prepared, we felt right at home (thanks for all your treats, they were delicious!). Thanks to all your tips about the region we saw so many beautiful places. An old mine, a hidden lake for swimming in the Black Forest, the beautiful city of Basel, several great hiking trails just around the corner - just to name a few. We enjoyed the contact with you ahead and during the exchange, it was easy, warm and friendly. We hope you had a great stay at our home, we sincerely enjoyed our holiday in Steinen. • Gemütliches Haus am Rand des Schwarzwaldes

  Wir hatten eine entspannte Woche in Steinen: Das Haus selbst war komfortabel, wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gegend bietet eine große Vielfalt an Ausflugs- und Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten, was durch Corona leider etwas eingeschränkt war. Um so mehr haben wir die Natur genossen und wunderschöne Wanderungen im Schwarzwald unternommen - dank der vielen Tipps unserer Gastgeber, die auch jederzeit auskunftsbereit waren. Danke für Eure Gastfreundschaft!

• Tolle Auszeit in Steinen!

  Wir haben einen wunderschönen Tausch mit Tanja und ihrer Familie genossen, das Haus bietet alles was benötigt wird und mehr.. Zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad kann man vieles unternehmen. Wir haben die Tschamberhöhle, die Kandertalbahn, den Alpenblick, Schauinsland, den Vogelpark etc. sehr genossen. Es gibt also viel zu entdecken und die Region lädt zu Ausflügen geradezu ein. Die Kommunikation, unser Haus und das Versorgen der Katze alles hat prima geklappt! Wir danken euch dafür herzlichst! Eure Freunde aus dem Münsterland, Kathrin

• Nice house with great view of castle Rötteln

  Perfect match. Comfortable and spacy new house. Our kids loved the soccer place nearby. Plenty opportunities to go hiking or see cities in Switzerland, France or in the south of Germany. The conversation before and between the swap was always warm and friendly.

  We had a wonderful exchange with the Eckl family in southern Germany.The communication and welcome was fantastic as was the visitors guide.Very comprehensive and we used the walking and day trips suggestions a lot. this was invaluable local knowledge. The house was super clean and easy to live in and placed in a great location for exploring the black forest and hoping over to Switzerland or France very easily. The House itself is right next to open fields and a great cycle track.The patio was south facing and we spent a lot of time watching the sun going down over the fields with castle Rotteln in the distance. Our children were happy to have so many toys to play with and enjoyed the boys scooters and balance bikes. I would heartily recommend this as a great house swap and especially for families.
