  Annette and Michael were the perfect hosts, and our apartment modern, clean and with beautiful views. Close to the two big castles, the mountains and the lake, this exchange is the pick of the forty that we have done. A truely beautiful area with an infinite number of easily accessed activities.

  Brilliant we loved every minute staying here.The scenery is amazing the village interesting.Loved the cows. We had the use of the car but loved biking around taking in the atmosphere. Great hosts,thanks so much for having us stay we felt really privlidged.

  Michael and Annett's apartment was fabulous and Schwangau was a fantastic location to explore the Bavarian alps and adjacent areas in Austria. I loved the views from the apartment and looking out the window at Neuschwantstein castle. Michael and Annett were wonderful hosts who were just next door if we needed anything.

  We were so happy to be invited to this home for a visit. Their apartment was spotless and a nice bottle of wine was left in the kitchen for our enjoyment. Our favorite part of the vacation was riding bicycles around the Forggensee and into the nearby villages. We could stop for a drink or view the beautiful scenery along the way. My wife and I would highly recommend this home to exchange with. Annett and Michael are great communicators, conscientious about taking care of our home and made us feel welcome in their home. It’s a shame we could not meet them in person!

• A Country Retreat Surrounded by Castles!

  We visited this modern apartment in mid October last year and continue to tell our friends of this unique location. The mountain vista from the windows was breathtaking, especially as we watched the peaks cover over with snow. A big cow barn was just steps away from our doorstep, as was a local bus stop, the shore of a cold rocky lake, and a field of horses. Local day trips revealed beautiful country churches, spectacular castles, and the pumpkin harvest. One day we took a drive into Austria. The apartment itself is new, clean, and well organized. We were very comfortable. Finding Schwangau was a challenge, but once we did, we were charmed.
