  Thank you for the loan of your very large, well-equipped, beautiful,stylish, comfortable, spacious, exceedingly well-appointed and welcoming home and garden. We have had a wonderful time in glorious Baden-Wuerttemberg and your home has been the perfect haven to depart from and return to after our daily forays into this most delightful area of Germany. (Indeed, it was difficult to pull ourselves away from it, but we were keen to explore!) Obviously, your huge private swimming pool has been the “icing in the cake” and sheer luxury after a hot sunny day sightseeing! Very luxurious swimming in the sunshine and atmospheric by the pool lights at night. (Also the sauna is very impressive indeed, it is ad we didn't have time to try it.) Having left the car at Hull Docks, we have taken full advantage of the wonderful German train service (and the Regio card you kindly left us) and have visited:Freiburg (several times); Basil; Lakes Titisee and Schluchsee; Strasbourg; Breisach; Bad Krozingham; Denzlingham; Colmar; Gengenbach, Freudenstadt; Emmendingen centre several times (with its glorious markets) and the magical forest behind your house of course. The location, with fabulous views, is ideal. Very quiet, far from the madding crowd for sleeping and relaxing but only a train ride away from all manner of cultural opportunities. The whole area is enchanting! It is so abundant, well-tended, packed with history and interest with delights at every turn. The weather was amazing - sunshine from morn 'til night with only two days of cloud/rain. We have met only extremely friendly people. It is a testimony to the friendliness of the people, that after such a short time we felt very much at home there. Your cats are adorable and are obviously bi-lingual (even I, with minimum German, could communicate with them)! We asked them if they fancy a new home in the UK, but they are too wise and have opted to stay. Thank you once again for a magical stay (and for your preparation for our arrival, treats left etc. not forgetting Robin for his input into homefile.) and for caring for our home so magnificently. You are first-rate exchange partners!
