Great exchange!
We had a fabulous time and felt very at home in Doug and Leslie’s house. Good communication between us, throughout the exchange process made everything very pleasant and much easier. We loved exploring the area - lots of hikes in the state parks, and along the beaches and cliffs, as well as fantastic coastal bike rides through Capitola and Santa Cruz. Highlights were Ano Nuevo and Henry Cowell state parks, and San Francisco. Thank you Doug and Leslie for looking after our home and our hens!
A Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Area
We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful home. The pre-swap communication was great, and we were given lots of information about the area. The house is just as described and very comfortable... thank you for a great swap!

Our whole experience in dealing with Doug and Leslie was a 100% positive one. Their home was exactly as we had imagined and hoped for, the location was superb and they left us all the information about the area and facilities that we could have hoped for. We absolutely loved the whole experience, had a few exchanges of email with Doug and Leslie during our stay to our mutual benefit and we can only really say that we had the most marvelous holiday and Doug and Leslie were superb hosts and we were only sorry that we never got the chance to meet them. Great Place- well worth the exchange!
What a delight is was to stay at Leslie and Doug's house. It is near the beach and centrally located for a lot of activities. The house is very comfortable and well supplied. We had fun playing games, going to the local Farmer's Markets, and enjoying their back deck with the fountain and the birds. It exceeded our expectations.
Awesome location, great exchange partners
Doug and Leslie were wonderful exchange partners, and their home next to the gorgeous New Brighton Beach proved a perfect base for exploring this very special spot on the northern Californian coast. We started missing it as soon as we left! There are so many places of extreme natural beauty to explore in this area -- Monterrey, Big Sur, the nearby red wood forests, all the beaches from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay, Ano Nuevo. But of course, you can just walk straight out the back yard of this house and in a few minutes be at the beach, or stroll on to the seaside area of shops and cafes in neighboring Capitola, one of the cutest little California beach towns you can find. Thanks again to Doug and Leslie for an unforgettable stay.
