We are a young couple in our 20s and 30s. We are both teaching artists, myself as a ballet teacher and dancer, and Gabe as a piano teacher and jazz musician. We are always looking for new destinations to explore, especially those with huge art scenes.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Located right in the heart of downtown San Francisco, our apartment is very easily accessible by all transit modes and is minutes away from Civic Center. This one bedroom apartment is on the 5th floor (4th European floor). There's a grand room that serves as a dining room with a lookout onto a city view and living room with a piano and lots of seating. The living room has a convertible futon that can accommodate 1 additional guest in a twin sized bed. The bedroom has a full sized bed as well as an extra full sized mattress for up to 2 additional guests should you need it. The apartment can be very sunny, however there are blackout curtains for your convenience in the bedroom. The kitchen, located right off the grand room, is equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, stove, and blender. The bathroom is spacious with a tub and removable shower head. Our apartment has many plants so we ask you to please water as needed.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our apartment is in Little Saigon, this neighbor in-between the Tenderloin district and Civic Center district. There are lots of good Asian eats on our street, including the #1 rated Vietnamese sandwich spot in the city located right underneath us! There's a corner liquor store open until 2am with snacks and drinks, as well as some toiletry items. There's also a pharmacy 2 blocks away.
Union Square is very close by, roughly a 15 min walk. Civic Center Station/Market St is 8 min walk and from there you can travel easily to any location in the city by bus, metro, or cable car. There is also a bus that picks up right outside our apartment that will drop you at Civic Center Station/Market St. in about 3 min.
Be aware that there are homeless people lingering all over the SF downtown area, the Tenderloin especially, but they keep to themselves and present no problems.
