We loved our stay in The Cottage. Laurel and Patrick could not have done more to ensure that we had a great stay.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
York is a small historic coastal town. It is America's oldest chartered town (1642) and has its own Museum, the nation's oldest jailhouse and many other historic buildings. It is home to picturesque Cape Neddick "Nubble" Light.
York is a well-known summer retreat. It has three 18-hole golf clubs, four sandy beaches, art galleries, an old-fashioned amusement area (Short Sands Beach) with its own zoo and Mount Agamenticus. It includes the villages of York Village, York Harbor, York Beach, and Cape Neddick. Hiking, boating, fishing and fine dining (including what Maine is famous for - lobster). Nightlife and shopping (including a large outlet complex) are all within easy reach.
