Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Located in the Sonoran Desert this spacious luxury home is designed for entertaining with a gourmet kitchen and large serving island. The kitchen seats 4 overlooking a garden (with barbecue) and the dining room seats up to 10.

Outdoors with tables, chairs, and loungers include a kitchen garden, a covered south patio cooled by a pressurized fog system, a pool and heated spa, and an upper deck with spectacular city views and the best location to enjoy the amazing Arizona sunsets.

The main house sleeps 6 in three bedrooms each with en-suite baths and a half bath. The casita with a kitchenette sleeps 4 with one bath.

Located in a gated community, the home is on a cul de sac off a private road and is very quiet. This is a second home and is available for exchange most of the year. Arizona is a popular tourist destination from November to May. The cars available for exchange: 2014 Toyota Prius and a 2004 Toyota Highlander.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our home is surrounded by a (private) golf course. The community consists of large lots and luxury homes situated in the open desert.. The village is on a mile circle which is perfect for a morning stroll. A very safe neighborhood in a gated community with almost no traffic. Our home is a 45 minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport with good connections to most major US airports and beyond..

The golf course that surrounds the home is for members only. But several excellent public courses are within a 20-minute drive.
Eclectic and artsy Carefree, “old western” Cave Creek (think rodeo), Scottsdale and Phoenix offer many art galleries, fine dining and cultural events from 5 to 45 minutes drive.

The greater Phoenix area surrounded by mountains includes picturesque Camelback Mountain.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

All within an hour or less by car are several sports stadiums, many museums, several live theatre productions, botanical gardens, a zoo, parks and over a dozen golf courses. Great walking areas: downtown Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix.

In under 30 minutes by car are ruins of the pre-Columbian Anastazi civilization, Indian petroglyphs, and numerous hiking trails with varied terrain and expansive views.

Arizona has over 40 national parks/monuments and state parks: majestic Grand Canyon, ancient Anastazi Montezma’s Castle, Karchner Caverns. Also great to visit: scenic Sedona (red rock country), a retreat and art colony, expansive Monument Valley (a setting for western movies) on the Arizona/Utah border, old Tucson (site of many western movies) and Indian country (Navajo and Hopi tribes).
