I'm a retired paralegal/journalist, who grew up in the Midwest (Chicago area), but have lived in Portland for 30+ years and love it here! I have traveled to six continents (Antarctica doe not appeal!) and like to spend enough time in an area to "immerse" myself. For the past ten years I have been spending a month in the UK every autumn, and would like to continue doing that; however, I am also open to other dates and places!!

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
All the attractions of Urban Portland are a short walk away. Portland is known for it's "dining scene" and you can eat your way through different cuisines every day. A wonderful Farmers Market operates year-round and is also an easy walk from here! Culture abounds with theatres (both live and film), music venues and museums within easy access. Hikers will enjoy Forest and Washington parks, both easily accessible, or try an urban stroll through Waterfront Park. The Visitor Information Center (https://www.travelportland.com0 /directory/travel-portland-visitor-information-center/) can provide information on day trips to the mountains or the coast.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
I am a senior citizen and prefer exchanging with adults; however, my condo would accommodate an older child or teenager. I do not have a car, so auto exchange is not possible; however, the public transportation system in Portland is excellent; a car is not needed. For other preferences, see below:
