I'm an active, single woman who enjoys travelling with one or more close friends. I currently live in Logan Square, one of Chicago's historic neighborhoods, though I've previously called upstate New York, Toronto and Montreal home. Most of my career has been in the Arts, planning and promoting large and small events in the visual, literary, and performing arts. I retired last year and continue to engage in the arts, especially dance, travel near and far, and explore nature.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Logan Square has a long history as a neighborhood of immigrants - Polish, German, Norwegian and Latino- a broad mix of young families, students, artists, professionals and blue collar workers. Over the last 10 years, it's had a Renaissance as a destination for interesting, eclectic restaurants, shops and entertainment. There is nearby public transportation (bus or subway) to get visitors downtown or to other neighborhoods with ease.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From the house, it's an easy walk to all the necessities . . .Tony's grocery store, Walgreens or CVS pharmacy, local cafes, a movie house, bookstore and an assortment of shops. However, since it's just a short walk to the CTA Blue line, visitors can get downtown in 20 minutes where you can enjoy free summer concerts in Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, theaters, opera, and shopping galore. Once there, you can enjoy the Lakefront trails, River Walk, bus and boat tours, an endless variety of restaurants - truly anything your heart desires.
