We have lived on Cape Cod in our present home since 1969 and have been Homelink members since 2004. All of our home exchanges in the US and abroad have been interesting and enjoyable. We often seek possible exchanges based on the character of a particular locale and / or striking features of the home. Many times we simply browse homelink looking for an exchange that seems unique in some way.

Centerville was a perfect place from which to explore Cape Cod, and we found many wonderful things to do, even in the winter. Peter and Cindy were especially great about communicating with us as we were planning our exchange, and they had lots of good tourist information available for us when we arrived at their home. We especially appreciated the effort and thought that Cindy put into developing a list of good painting spots on the Cape for my artist husband. Her suggestions were spot-on. Peter and Cindy also took excellent care of our home on their end of our non-simultaneous exchange. A great exchange all around!! Many thanks from Susan and Steve.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We are always interested in a non simultaneous exchange in the Caribbean or other winter warm location. We live on Cape Cod, one of the premier visitor destinations in the US.
Our house, in the town of Centerville, is located on a small unpaved road near the 654 acre Lake Wequaquet. At the lake you can use our canoe or kayaks. (If we are gone on a kayak trip the canoe is always here.) You can swim off the dock.
Our home was built in 1935 as classic Cape Cod summer cottage. Today it is a comfortable home. During the forty years that we have lived here we have added many new features to the house: upstairs bedrooms, solar green house, front deck, completely remodeled interior. The living room was renovated in 2014, master bedroom, bathroom and laundry area were renovated in 2012 and the kitchen and dining room in 2011.
Outside, is a large vegetable garden, you can pick whatever is in season. The grounds include picnic table, fire pit, gas grill, hammock, benches & flower garden.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live on an unpaved road in a small neighborhood of homes on a quarter mile private road circle. We own a private right of way to Lake Wequaquette where we and our neighbors swim, canoe and kayak.
The Cape has a variety of summer and autumn activities: theater, beaches, Cape Cod Canal, hiking the sand dunes, cycling, historic homes, John F. Kennedy Museum, ferry trips to the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Ocean beaches are a 5 minute drive.
