Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
We are 2 miles from historic York with it's world famous Minster, City Walls, art gallery, theatre, museums and gardens. Within approx. 1 hour are: the seaside towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey, Flamborough, RSPB Bempton Cliffs. RHS garden Harlow Carr, Fountain's Abbey, Newby Hall, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Hepworth gallery and many more! Then there are the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales. You will be spoilt for choice for supermarkets within our area but there is a local smaller supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Restaurants and cafes of every description can be found in York - just google top restaurants (same with cafes/bars) - our recommendations are ones with good food at reasonable prices but lots of finer dining experiences !! London, King's Cross is less than two hours by train from York station and really cheap if booked in advance!
