Description of the home we are offering for exchange
A warm welcome awaits you in the small market town of Trowbridge in the heart of rural Wiltshire. Close to Bath, Bristol and Salisbury also an easy journey to London for day trips or overnight stays.
My smoke free, pet free home is fairly new and provides all the amenities necessary for modern living. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac development with friendly and helpful neighbours the south facing rear garden catches the sun all day and overlooks open countryside. It is just 5 minutes walk from a large country park ideal for running, walking, bird watching or just relaxing.
However, with so much to see and do in the area, I imagine you will be out and about most of the time.
Trains:
Trowbridge main line station is 20 minutes walk or easy bus ride. It has direct trains to Bath, Bristol, South Wales, Salisbury and other places on the south coast. Also easy connections via Bath to London, or connections via Bristol to travel north.

Trowbridge is ideally placed on the edge of the Cotswolds and also the Mendip Hills, both designated areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are easy driving routes to most parts of the South West of England which includes the other counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
Trowbridge is also close to two UNESCO world heritage sites.
The Georgian City of Bath (12 miles) is rated by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. With its famous Roman Baths you can soak in the natural hot spring water at the new Thermae Spa complex or swim in the roof terrace pool overlooking the city. There is a new shopping complex boasting all major retailers as well as many smaller independent shops. With beautiful stone buildings and impressive Georgian architecture there is also Bath Abbey, parks, museums, restaurants and theatres to enjoy.

Stonehenge (30 miles) is believed to be over 5,000 years old. With a new visitor centre this prehistoric site is one of the most visited attractions outside of London.
