Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is in Sutton Coldfield 6 miles north-east of Birmingham in the English Midlands. Living in the heart of the country we are well placed for
travel north or south. We have excellent bus and train sevices and our local facilities: shopping, restaurants etc.are extensive. Our wider region has a rich cultural, industrial and artistic heritage. The following places are within easy reach by bus,train or car: stately homes, Stratford upon Avon-Shakespeare's country, The Cotswolds, Oxford & Derbyshire Dales, the Ironbridge Gorge region-cradle of the Industrial Revolution, the Black Country, Lichfield and Coventry. London is only 90 minutes away by train.
Birmingham, the UK's second city, offers a rich variety of cultural experiences at its theatres, cinemas,Town Hall and our world famous Symphony Hall. The Museum & Art Gallery has a world class permanent collection complemented by other centres and galleries such as the Barber Institute at the University of Birmingham.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is relatively quiet within easy reach of Sutton Park - a national nature reserve - excellent for walking and cycling. Our bus and train services give easy access to Sutton Coldfield town centre and Britain's second city Birmingham. Within a few minutes walk is a large retail centre and a variety of local shops and restaurants.

Sutton Park is only a 10 minutes walk; there are 7 square miles of heath, woodland and lakes. There is a bistro near its centre and two restaurants accessible on foot or by car. Our local 'village' of Boldmere and Beggar's Bush crossroads area have a variety of pubs and restaurants offering English, Asian, and Italian dishes.
Birmingham centre has excellent shopping, dining and cultural activities. Our world-famous Symphony Hall, the Museum and Art Gallery, our new Library of Birmingham and the Repertory Theatre deserve to be visited.
