Read More...We really enjoyed our stay in Oundle. It's an interesting market town in the English countryside, and June and Terry's house was very comfortable, clean and well-situated. The car was essential given the location, and the car exchange worked very well. We would happily welcome June and Terry back to our house, as they left the house immaculate, looked after our garden very well, and they are very decent and pleasant people to deal with.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
WE WANT TO GO TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA IN 2019
Our quiet detached bungalow sits on the edge of a 14th century market town centred around one of Englands' foremost public (private) schools. The property has a large rear garden with fruit trees and views of the gently rolling countryside.
It has a double bedroom with en suite and 2 further bedrooms sleeping 4 people sharing a shower/w.c.. In addition we have a lounge, dining room, study/TV room and a kitchen with all appliances.
The centre of town is 1 mile away with supermarkets and all the necessary shops, pubs, and restaurants (market day Thursday). We are surrounded by lots of pretty villages and charming pubs.
Activities such as golf, tennis, walking, cycling and fishing are all available locally.
Oundle has many fine old buildings as does Stamford which is only 20 minutes away and dates from Roman times.
Many fine old houses are within a short drive, whilst London, Cambridge,Oxford, Warwick and Stratford are not far away.

We live in a quiet neighbourhood on the edge of town, one mile from the Market Place. Walking or cycling to town is easy with only a slight gradient. The rear of the property has an open aspect on to playing fields and the house is not overlooked by others.
100m in the opposite direction and you are in open countryside, ideal for gentle walks.
The town of Oundle is based around the public ( fee paying ) school with it's many fine buildings.
Halfway to the town centre is the Community Hub building, library, doctors surgery and police station.
