We are both semi-retired from our careers in the insurance & banking industries in the City of London. Travel has been a passion of ours since our first extended trip to Australia in 1996. Our dream came true in 2014 when we home exchanged to Gold Coast Queensland for 6 months......amazing ! We love home exchange (9 so far), and especially the people we meet. Please feel free to get in touch, we will answer all messages received.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Hello, and thank your for viewing our details.
LOCATION
Our home is located down a private road in a small rural village in the Essex countryside which is on the east side of London. For us it has always provided the perfect balance between living in the country and working / socialising in London.
The village has its own train station with direct links to London Liverpool Street station & Stratford in East London, home of the London 2012 Olympic Park and huge Westfield shopping complex. Both stations are major interchanges for all London has to offer e.g. Sightseeing & shopping, the history & culture.
The single track railway line runs along the bottom of our large garden where trains pass into / out of the station just a few minutes walk away. Consequently this makes the use of public transport by train very convenient.
