Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Period Edwardian house in Ealing London, 4-bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Walking distance to London Underground/Tube and also a mainline train station so ideal for visiting all of the London tourist hotspot locations whilst also ideal base for heading out of London towards Windsor, Oxford, Chiswick, Richmond, Kew Gardens etc. Our local neighbourhood has all the amenities on our doorstep, shops, restaurants, bakery etc so you don't ever need a car for anything.
1. Northfields TUBE (Piccadilly Line) (900meters), 10mins walk OR bus, 2stops;
-in less than 20mins access to South Kensington (Natural History Museum, etc); 27 mins to Green Park (Buckingham Palace); 30mins Leicester Square
2. Ealing Broadway Station (Central & District Tube AND Mainline Railway) (2.5km from house) - 10mins using numerous local buses, run every 3mins, 3stops OR walk in 17mins

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is quiet and residential, family orientated spot. 5mins walk from our house is a main high street (Northfields Avenue) which has a neighbourly feel with array of useful and traditional shops ranging from:- local butchers, fresh bakery, dedicated cheese shop, deli, green grocers, decent-sized supermarket (Tesco's which is open 6am-midnight 7days a week), fishmongers, etc.
We live 10mins walk to a tube station (Northfields) which is on the Picadilly Line and is very handy for getting into Central London, West End, Leicester Square, etc. We also have two nearby parks with child friendly activities (sand pit, playground etc) and also lots of running ground if you enjoy keeping up with your jogging on holiday.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
I know from previous swaps, it was important to us to have things to do locally within walking distance, in the evenings or on days off from hectic tourist activity. On that front, you will definitely not be disappointed at our house.
From our house its a short walk to busy cafes, restaurants, shops, pubs, supermarket, shopping centre and two parks. We picked our house and locality exactly for this reason, we like to be short walk away from all amenities.
Northfields (which is our local neighbourhood) is a calm suburban neighbourhood. There are many restaurant options within 5mins walk from our house (Northfields High Street, our local road) and many more within 15min walk (Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre has at least 10 or more varied restaurant options). Regular family outing that we enjoy on weekends is to walk to Ealing Broadway, mooch about the shops and eat in one of the many restaurants (there are many different cuisine options to choose from, Chinese, Mexican, American, etc)

"Starting from Uxbridge Road (Lido Junction), Northfield Avenue snakes down through nearly 200 businesses to Little Ealing Road (connecting with Pope’s Lane). The neighbourhood is simply called “Northfields”.
As one of the 60-odd shopping parades in Ealing borough, this avenue deserves special attention because of its individuality and community aspect.
Getting to Northfields is easy as not only does it have its own tube station (Northfields on the Piccadilly Line, with South Ealing a record close distance away), but both the E2 and E3 buses link the area with Chiswick, Ealing Broadway, Brentford, Acton, and Greenford.
Stop-and-shop bays (30-min) are widely available, and, on many side streets, parking is easy once you avoid the permit-holders-only times of 10-11am and 3-4pm, Mon-Fri.
As one of the 60-odd shopping parades in Ealing borough, this avenue deserves special attention because of its individuality and community aspect."
