Lancaster castle is 5 minutes walk away and the cathedral, beautiful Williamsons Park and Ashton Memorial and the butterfly house are a 25 minutes stroll away... It's a small, friendly city with lots of cafes and restaurants. It's also a great gateway, at the centre of the road and rail network.
