Robin and Barbara's home is an ideal base for exploring Shrewsbury, Shropshire and the Welsh borders. It's right in the heart of the most attractive part of town, only a few minutes' walk from the castle, parks and river as well as a great variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and other attractions. The house is elegant, spacious and welcoming and there's a beautiful walled garden for al fresco dining. Despite its central location, it is extremely quiet. We stayed for two weeks and had an excellent exchange in every way.

Robin and Barbara went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Their home was lovely and Shrewsbury was our favourite part of our trip to England. Everything within walking distance, the market, pubs, shops, and the train station. People were super friendly.

Shrewsbury is a charming and lively little town. Many thanks to Barbara and Robin for allowing us to stay in their elegant and very comfortable Victorian house, complete with a garden that made us green with envy. We were able to discover the green hills of Shropshire, its castles, its villages and its magnificent gardens (Not to mention the small tea rooms and lively pubs). We are going to miss the queen's jubilee but we were already in the mood.
