Read More...We had a wonderful stay at Amy and Ed’s home. Organising the swap was so easy with regular communication from Amy. We arrived to a beautiful homemade dinner. Location is great with free parking on the street, and a short walk to the lovely Hill Road shops and bars. The climb up old stone steps is worth it, great views over Somerset to enjoy a glass of wine after the children had gone to bed. Clevedon is a lovely town with good quality restaurants and bars nearby that Amy and Ed recommended. We enjoyed day trips including Bath, Bristol and Wells. This is a lovely home and the children loved playing with all the toys and books on offer. Thank you very much.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our unique home is a 'town house' style house that is tucked away giving a tranquil feeling when you enter it. We are situated in the gorgeous Hill Road area of the seaside town of Clevedon. Our home has 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, a bunkbed room (with cot as well) and a large single room), 2 receptions rooms, 3 bathrooms and the heart of the home is our kitchen/diner that is a recent addition to the house. The top reception area has a double sofa bed and so can also be a bedroom if needed. We have recently converted the loft to give us our 4th bedroom (a double), a bathroom, living area (with sofa bed) and a bridge that takes you to the top garden. Our terraced garden is exciting for children with a slide, climbing frame, pirate den/treehouse and sand pit, but its also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of the west counrty and Bristol channel. We have recently built a decking and BBQ area to be able to really enjoy the view and to be able to access the hot tub more easily, opening out the garden. The other 2 terraces of our garden are used for the chickens, growing veg and our workshop area. We have a large bbq, a tandoor oven and hopefully soon we'll have a pizza oven too......
We are walking distance to the sea front and the historic Clevedon Pier (10 min walk), Boutique shops (5 min walk), wine bars, restaurants (5 min walk) and local shops (5 min walk).
Clevedon is situated right by the M5 motorway, making it really easy to visit further down south - Devon, Cornwall etc. and to also get into Bristol, which is only a 25 minute drive away. Bath takes about 45 mins and we are only 20 mins from Bristol airport. Further afield, and a 2 hour drive would take you to London or west Wales (Cardiff is about 30mins).
Clevedon is a lovely place to visit for a holiday, with a marine lake to swim in if you wish to and a lovely pebble beach. There are lots of beautiful walks, kayaking, swimming, cycle paths and then you can then come home to enjoy a glass of something while taking in the panoramic views from the hot tub!

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live 5 minutes walk (turn right from our house) from 'Hill Road Area' that has lovely shops, restaurants, coffee shops and wine bars. Down the hill the other way (left out the house) you get to the town centre where there are more nice shops and coffee shops etc.
The sea front is a ten minute walk with the famous Pier, the beach and some more restaurants and cafes and if you keep walking along the front you get to the marine lake and a good children's playground.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our house you can turn right and in 5 minutes, walking, you read the lovely Hill road area that has shops, restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, hairdressers, barbers and a local Sainsburys. We feel very lucky to have this all so close to our home.
If you turn left and go down the hill you will come to the town centre of Clevedon which also offers a lot of different shops and coffee shops and on a Thursday there is a farmers market in the town square.
If you head straight to the sea front (10 min walk) there is the marine lake, a large playground, coffee shops and restaurants on the sea front and The Pier.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We would expect to find our house as we left it. We would not like smoking inside the house and if smoking outside then to be safe about it. Our concern with pets would be the layout of the garden and the fact that we don't have any pets as its not really a very pet friendly layout. It would be great if some one could water the veg if we have any growing at the time, but no pressure!
