We had a thoroughly enjoyable exchange and were made to feel very welcome. The East Ridings is such an interesting area to explore

We had a lovely week in Yorkshire and were comfortable in Ian and Cath’s spacious home. We were made very welcome in the local pub, and enjoyed visits to the nearest town, Polkington. There is so much to do in the local area from the cities of York and Beverley, to hiking in the Yorkshire Wolds, Dales and Moors, and visiting the coast. We were very lucky with the weather, but would have found plenty of wet weather alternatives had the need arisen.

Cath and Ian were well organised in the house which made staying there so easy. They were also very helpful and welcoming. The house and garden are so spacious that everyone felt able to loose themselves, perfect for a family holiday! As a base to explore York and the Wolds it was great and we had a really good time.

We enjoyed our stay. The beautiful large garden is a bonus and the raspberries!

We never met Ian and Cath but they provided us with everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay.

My January exchange in Barmby Moor, Yorkshire, was fantastic. What a great time to stay in the UK. It was very quiet, vistas were opened up as the trees were leafless and I was blessed to see parts of Yorkshire covered in snow. A big thankyou to Cath and Ian - wonderful exchangers.
