This was our first simultaneous exchange and Denis and Sue could not have made the experience more pleasurable. From our first contact they were responsive and detailed in answering all our questions, no matter how obscure. We made our exchange agreement nearly a year in advance and our communication with Denis and Sue was frequent, which made us feel as if we knew them before we actually met. We were fortunate enough to plan our travel so that we met Denis and Sue upon their arrival and introduced them to our neighbors and friends. We highly recommend such a meet and greet as it makes the experience much more personal and increases the comfort level of having guests in our home. Denis and Sue's home is lovely. It is located in the charming village of Brampton and easy walking distance to a good pub, butcher, co-op market and public walking paths. It is a very short drive to Huntingdon, which has more shopping options and a train station that has direct hourly trains to London and connections to all points in the U.K. There were four of us in our party (two couples) and we found their home to be very comfortable and modern with all the amenities. Sue's kitchen contains everything one could possibly need. The bathrooms are updated and fresh. The lounge and conservatory are wonderful spots to relax and unwind. We especially enjoyed the conservatory for having our morning coffee. The backyard garden is also a delight. We also enjoyed including our automobiles as part of the exchange. This worked out perfectly as it eliminated the need to rent a car. Theirs is a Mercedes station wagon which was in perfect operating condition and more than met our needs. We could not have asked for a better firstmexchange experience. Thank you Denis and Sue!
