Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
South Ealing is a community with local bakers, grocers, cafes and coffee shops and a choice of small supermarkets and just 5 minutes walk from the underground trains which run every 3-5 minutes into central London in 35 mintues. We are in a very quiet, tree lined road of terraced Edwardian (1914) houses. Ealing is known as the Green Borough as we have three large parks within 5 minutes walk. We are 10 minutes from Kew Gardens (world renouned botanical gardens) on the bus and the River Thames. You can walk and cycle along the Tow path into delightful Richmond upon Thames or East towards the city. There are four traditional local pubs within walking distance of the house. The famous 1930's Ealing Film Studios are still in use and the Pitzhanger Villa (1800) has recently been restored as an art museum.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
It is a five minute walk to local shops, cafes, four popular local pubs and two very lovely parks. We are also 15 minutes by bus from Kew Gardens and delightful walks along the River Thames to Richmond and to the Stately homes along the Thames. The larger shopping centre at Ealing Broadway is 10 minutes on the bus or a green walk through our parks. The underground station is 5 minutes walk too and you can be in central London in 35 minutes and 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport in the other direction. Ealing is known as the "Green Borough" and is popular for its easy proximity to central London and Edwardian homes.
