Hello, we are Marc and Aurora. We are both teachers and work in the IT field. We have a 19-year-old son who is studying at University, so he does not currently live at home, only on holidays or some weekends. We enjoy traveling, also food and wines. We also love playing sports, hiking, cycling or running. We have a deep respect for other cultures and will care for your home as well as it was our own. Our preference is for adults or grown children.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
ALREADY BOOKED FOR SPRING AND SUMMER 2024.
Sunny apartment in Valencia, located in one of the best neighbourhoods with excellent views (8th floor). The area has a vibrant atmosphere. Actually, it's the most turistic area of the city. Very well connected to the beach and the city center, it only takes 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus (bus station just at the corner). The apartment has an ensuite room and a junior room with full bathroom. The apartment also has an office room where we work from home. It's very sunny with a glazed south façade. Every room has the best view of the city. 2 long balconys that allow you to have breakfast or just dinner outside with the best view.
We really love this apartment, in fact it is our home, all our life has been happened here, it's not a second residence.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Modern area with many facilities. Touristic, vibrant area. But the apartment is quiet and confortable.
Just in front of the apartment: https://www.cac.es/en/home.html
One of the most unique parts of the city is Jardines del Turia, a 5.5-mile-long (9km) green lung that bisects the city. (just in front of the apartment). The dry riverbed of the flood-prone Turia river was diverted to the south of the city after the disastrous flooding of 1957, and it's since been turned into a beautifully landscaped ribbon of parkland, home to some of Valencia's biggest draws.
Cycling or walking the length of Turia Gardens is an excellent way to explore, from the Bioparc zoo at its western end to the City of Arts and Sciences, near Valencia’s port at its east. Here you’ll find a cluster of big-hitting attractions housed in futuristic buildings designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava: the eye-shaped Hemisfèric, an IMAX theater; Oceanogràfic, Spain’s most famous aquarium; state-of-the-art science museum Museu de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, a majestic opera house.
Around the halfway point is Jardins del Real (Royal Gardens), where you’ll find the kid-friendly Museu de Ciències Naturals. Adjacent to the gardens is the excellent Museu de Belles Arts, Spain’s second largest art gallery.
