Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
There is a full supermarket next door and a pharmacy within a block. Our apartment is situated in the L'Eixample, a district with beautiful and classically designed buildings created in the late 19th Century, bordering the (Ciutat Vella) the old City. We are just a 5 minute walk to Plaza Catalunya and the fashionable shopping on Passeig de Gracia. In the Gothic quarter the fresh food market “Mercat de Santa Caterina” its great restaurant & the beautiful Palau Musica and Las Ramblas are also a short walk. Head east & in 5 minutes you will find 'Parc De La Ciutadella' from there you can meander through the streets of 'El Born' and pass some time in the small eclectic bars, shops and restaurants of the area.
