The mid Wales coast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester are popular day trips by train. Ironbridge Gorge, a world heritage site with the world's first iron bridge was home to the Industrial Revolution and has 10 different museums spread along the valley of the river Severn.
