Description of the home we are offering for exchange
PLEASE , only enquiries from our preferred destinations. Large two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the upper floor of our villa; which features a large wrap around terrace with superb distant views. Great for all year round living. Probably the best climate in Europe with frequent blue skies and moderate winter temperatures. Located within walking distance from one of the best villages on the Algarve. Long sandy beaches , wonderful cliff top walks, tranquil walks along the estuary starting near the villa and ending up in the village. Board walks across the dunes to the headland. Numerous restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance. Interesting and historic towns and villages all within half an hours drive. Easy access to Lisbon by train or coach. We welcome non simultaneous exchange to suit your travel plans. See also Casa Mirama Poolside which is on the ground floor of the villa and available on request subject to availability.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Casa Mirama Terrace is on the upper floor of a large villa.
Located within walking distance of Alvor which has such a great reputation that many people come back year after year.
So many restaurants we do not even start to give recommendations. For those who like their fish fresh and on the bone you cannot beat it.
Busy in August, which is high season, we are located just far enough away where you have a nice shaded terrace for relaxing.
Easy driving along the coast and into the mountain ranges brings you to interesting and historic towns and villages.
A good base to visit Lisbon as buses and trains run on a regular basis. Porto is an hours flight from Faro with Ryanair flying 3 x per week. Both cities would need a couple of days to make the most of most of the trip.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The apartment is 15 minutes walk to the village, 25 minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes by car to the beach and 45 minutes to Faro airport. Major cities: 2.5 hours by car, bus or train from Lisbon, 3 hours by car from Seville and 2.5 hours flight from the UK. Note; you will need at least two days minimum stopover in Lisbon or Seville to see the sights.
