There is a hiking path starting directly down at our house. You can either walk it up and make a round trip down to our house through a very nice forrest, reminding a little of a norwegian djungle. Or you further by foot or drive up that way, the way is newly built and ends after 4,5 km up on the hill, from where you can start walking about 1 hour to a mountain lake. The view and the nature is fantastic.

Within 20 min. walking you are in our little village called Ålvik. The main focus here is the factory, which you can also see from our house. The whole area is partly idyllic and partly has industrial character and charme. In Ålvik you find a supermarkt with a good choice of products.

Right down at the street there is a bus station. Within 20 min. you a in the next bigger villages Øystese and Norheimsund, and it takes you about 2 hours to reach the city "Bergen".
