The small harbour of Enkhuizen is ideally located by the inland sea. It is a postcard town with canals, cobbled streets and typical Dutch brick houses. The large house of Anneke and Peter, with its kitchen opening onto a pretty garden and its Van Gogh colors, had a very historic feel. We enjoyed getting lost in the countryside, visiting the mills, discovering the island of Texel and sunbathing on the northern beaches. Not to mention a visit to Amsterdam and its many museums. Thanks to Anneke and Peter for allowing us to discover their country.

Spacious house of 100+ years old, in the centre of the historic VOC harbour town Enkhuizen. Great gardens with lawn, terrace. Swimming in the "IJsselmeer"-lake. 45 minutes from Amsterdam and Beaches. Excellent walking, biking routes, many interesting and entertaining activities and day trips.

We have had very nice exchanges and guests have always enjoyed our house.

The house in " Broad" street is the historic center of Enkhuizen - the City Hall is next to our house. There is a whole line-up of historic houses - this house of 1903 is relatively new!
