Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Four-year-old, modern, stand-alone, townhouse in Mairangi Bay, arguably the best suburban beach in NZ, on the North Shore of Auckland. Five minutes walk to the village (restaurants, cafes, shops, med centre) and 2 minutes further to the beach and coastal walkways.

The house has all-new furniture and appliances. There are four bedrooms - one contains gym/exercise gear. The middle level has kitchen, dining, family room, gym/bedroom, bathroom and a sun deck with a retractable awning. Built-in garaging and internal access from the garage to the house.

The large master bedroom is the only room on the upper level so is very quiet and private. It has a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe.

The other two bedrooms are on the lower level and have queen-size and standard double-size beds respectively, along with a large lounge/TV room and lower deck. The third bathroom is on this level.

We have a high-speed fibre internet connection with unlimited data. Netflix and other streaming sources.

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Quiet, friendly neighbourhood with a mix of mainly retired people plus families with children. Not on a main road.

Mairangi Bay is a very safe beach for swimming with occasional surf. It is one of a string of beaches that make up Auckland's East Coast Bays which all face east to the Hauraki Gulf.

Use of a car is not strictly necessary but makes life a lot easier - car exchange is necessary. Buses to Auckland City central and to other parts of the North Shore run through the Village, five minutes walk away.

Auckland city centre is 20 minutes drive to the south (off-peak) or via express-lane bus park & ride (five minutes drive away then 20 minutes on the bus) or by bus from the village (five minutes walk then about 40 minutes on the bus off-peak).

The house is approx. 240 sq. m. (2,500 sq. ft.) over three levels. Lower level - two bedrooms , large lounge TV room, bathroom with shower and bath, deck and outdoor access. Mid level - front entry, kitchen, dining, family room, bathroom with shower and a fourth bedroom currently containing gym gear (rower, bike and elliptical cross-trainer). Upper level - large master bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom and shower.
