Description of the home we are offering for exchange
This cozy, hand crafted log home is ideal for all those outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy a layed-back country lifestyle. Nestled between the foothills and the Rocky Mountains, this spacious rural property offers spectacular mountain views, unlimited back country access, and is regularly frequented by most of the local wildlife species. This picturesque home is designed and decorated to keep in character with it's natural mountain setting. Our closest neighbour is the Bull River Guest Ranch. Additional information and images of the area can be obtained by checking out their web site at bullriverguestranch.com.
From Dec to April, ski enthusiasts will find this property to be ideally located within a one hour drive of two world class ski hills, (Fernie and Kimberley). Cross country skiing and snowmobiling is also readily available from the front door for most of the winter months.
From May to November the Kootenay Region comes alive with lush foliage and green alpine meadows, visible from almost every window in the house. A thirty acre seasonal lake fills to within a few paces of the front door and the Rocky Mountain back country becomes available for every outdoor activity imaginable. The Bull River, a pristine, turquoise mountain stream, minutes from home offers world class fishing for cutthroat trout, kayaking and river rafting. Countless hiking trails in the area provide access to spectacular alpine basins and lakes. Our area also has a large number of quality golf courses spread throughout the Kootenay valley.
